Dr. Robert Carter, MD, FSVS,FACS, RPVI

Dr. Robert R. Carter, MD, FSVS, FACS, RPVI, is a highly skilled vascular surgeon at Restore Muscle and Joint in Kansas City, specializing in genicular artery embolizations. He earned his medical degree from the University of California at Davis Medical School and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Dr. Carter further honed his expertise with a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Kentucky before returning to Kansas City in 2011 to join the Midwest Aortic & Vascular Institute.

Board certified in both general and vascular surgery, Dr. Carter is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is proficient in both open and endovascular techniques, with additional specialty training in wound care and varicose veins. His dedication to advancing vascular care is reflected in his extensive publications in renowned medical journals and his contribution to the 5th edition of Current Therapy in Vascular Surgery.

As an associate professor at Kansas City University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dr. Carter takes pride in educating the next generation of surgeons. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, exploring the many activities and attractions Kansas City has to offer.
