Restore Muscle and Joint proudly welcomed Dr. Austin J. Wagner, DO, FSVS, RPVI, to our dedicated team of specialists. Dr. Wagner, a Kansas City native, brings a wealth of expertise in vascular surgery and a deep passion for advancing patient care through innovative treatments. His focus on genicular artery embolization has already made a significant impact in our clinic, offering patients a life-changing option for osteoarthritis and knee pain relief.
Dr. Wagner’s training is extensive and distinguished. He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at the esteemed Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, following a general surgery residency at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. His medical journey began with an internship at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, after earning his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2008. He also graduated magna cum laude from Benedictine College with a degree in biochemistry.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Wagner has shared his expertise as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Kansas City University and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. His commitment to professional excellence is evident through his involvement with the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and Society for Vascular Surgery. Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Dr. Wagner’s skill and dedication have earned him the respect of both colleagues and referring physicians.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Wagner treasures time with his wife and three children. Whenever possible, he enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, lacrosse, and camping, reflecting his energetic and balanced approach to life and medicine.
