Dr. Jon Wilson, DO, FACOS, FSVS, RPVI
Dr. Jonathan E. Wilson, DO, FACOS, FSVS, RPVI, has returned to the Kansas City area as part of the vascular surgery team at Restore Muscle and Joint. A native of Independence, Missouri, he grew up on the Fort Osage Christmas Tree Farm and is a proud graduate of Fort Osage High School, where he cultivated a deep connection with the Midwest community.
Dr. Wilson demonstrated academic excellence early on, graduating summa cum laude with multiple honors from Abilene Christian University in Texas, where he majored in biochemistry with a focus on molecular genetics. His medical training journey took him from the University of North Texas to Columbia Hospital and Palms West Hospital in Florida, and ultimately to the University of Missouri, where he completed both his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship.
In his professional career, Dr. Wilson has served as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Truman Medical Center, co-authored numerous publications, and presented as a guest lecturer at international conferences in Canada, India, and Egypt. He is an associate professor at Kansas City University and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Dr. Wilson is also a Fellow Member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and an esteemed member of The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
